Sinus Lifts

Occasionally when attempting to replace a missing back tooth in the upper jaw (Maxilla), we are limited by the amount of natural bone that is available due to the proximity of an air  cavity call the maxillary sinus. Through a procedure called a sinus lift we can recreate the necessary bone height needed for dental implants.

There are two types of sinus lift augmentation procedures: Direct and Indirect. The appropriate treatment option is determined following consultation and advanced diagnostic imaging. In most cases the sinus augmentation can be performed simultaneously with dental implant placement reducing overall surgical and recovery time.
