Dr. Siavash Hassanpour – Periodontist

H.Bsc. M.Sc. D.D.S., M.Sc. (Perio), FRCD (C) 

Dr. Hassanpour completed his dental training at the University of Toronto. He received his Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology in 2008 and completed his first Maters of Science degree in bone biology in 2010. He  obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2014 and finally he completed his second Masters of Science degree in innate immunology in 2017. He also completed his extensive training in periodontology and implantology in 2017. He is a board certified periodontist and a fellow of Royal College of Dentist of Canada. Dr. Hassanpour has published multiple peer reviewed articles and is a winner of multiple scientific research and clinical awards. 

Dr. Hassanpour has a passion for education. He is currently a clinical instructor in the Graduate and Undergradute Periodontology Departments at the University of Toronto. He also frequently hosts lectures and seminars for Ontario Dentists and Hygienists. Dr. Hassanpour is also very active in organized dentistry and in the dental community. He is the past-president of the Toronto Central Dental Society as well as an executive of the Ontario Society of Periodontology. Dr. Hassanpour is also privileged to serve as a general councilor for the Ontario Dental Association representing the Central Toronto. 

Dr. Hassanpour is happily married to his high school sweetheart Kelley. Together they have a wonderful two year old son Kyan. Dr. Hassanpour is an avid golfer and loves to spend time with family and friends. 

Dr. Sally Safa – Periodontist 

D.D.S., M.Sc. (Perio), FRCD (C) 

Dr. Sally Safa is a board certified Periodontist.  Alumnus of the University of Toronto where she maintains a teaching position as clinical instructor.  

Using the most up to date technology and evidence based approach, her goal is to be part of a team with her patients in achieving stable and healthy oral health.   

Dr. Safa’s Masters research was in the field of Psychoneuroimmunology, understanding the effects of stress on the body.  This background combined with her education in the field of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, has allowed her to share the science behind both stress and mindfulness with her patients and colleagues.  

In her free time, Dr. Safa is busy with her two children aged 15 and 12! 

Dr. Gerald (Gerry) Pearson – Periodontist 

Dr. Pearson graduated from The University of Toronto in Dentistry  in 1976 and completed his studies in Periodontics in 1979. He maintains a private practice limited to periodontics and implantology in North Toronto since that time.  He is an associate in dentistry and an instructor in the post-graduate program in the division of periodontics at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry where he has been teaching since 1979.  Dr. Pearson is a member of the staff at North York General Hospital since 1982. He is a former winner of the Keith Box Gold Medal in Periodontics. Dr. Pearson has lectured extensively across North America and has had several articles published.
